This meeting was arranged at the request of "Confronti'" editorial board in order to visit the only none governmental organization advocating inter-religious dialogue in Iran.
Explaining about IID's goal, during this visit, Fahimeh Mousavi Nejad, chief editor of "Religious News" Magazine _ IID's bimonthly magazine_ introduced different part of Institute such as its library, Magazine and youth group.
"The most important thing for promoting peace in the world is acquaintance and friendship of religion's followers", said Mousavi Nejad.
"Institute for Inter-religious Dialogue tries to act as a connection point between religions therefore we try to bring minorities close to majorities in Iran and outside of Iran", she added.
"Although IID is a small NGO but it could have great influence on interfaith dialogue. For the first time in Iran followers of different religions gathered in IID about 8 years ago and they passed the experience of joint sessions", chief editor of IID's magazine said.
Former editorial board members and readers of "Confronti" monthly interfaith magazine praised IID's activities.
One of the former editorial board members of Confronti magazine said: "although lots of people think that all the Italian are Catholics but other followers of religions are living in our area".
"We do believe in Confronti magazine that we should walk on the way of establishing peace in the world and this should start from Mediterranean region", he added.
Visiting the specialty library of IID, former editorial board members and readers of "Confronti" monthly interfaith magazine of Italy gave the book "The Rome of Religions" as a gift to IID's library.
